How Evangelism Explosion started in Uganda
Evangelism Explosion Uganda was first introduced in Uganda in 1990, when Gary Skinner, the founder of Watoto Church (then Kampala Pentecostal Church), took his team to Kenya to be trained to train local church members to share their faith with confidence.
They returned and implemented Evangelism Explosion, and as others heard of this ministry, the desire and need for training grew, leading to the next step in advancement of the ministry, which was the formation of an inter-denominational National Board of Directors spearheaded by Kato Solomon, then a Pastor at Watoto Church.
The subsequent legal incorporation in 2009, followed by appointment of staff marking the beginning of EE Uganda operations to date.
